Patrick Abeln joined Berkadia in July 2023 as a Director for our Medical and Life Sciences platform. Patrick, who focuses on debt placement and JV equity structuring, has 14 years of experience with 9+ years in healthcare real estate.
Patrick joins Berkadia from Hammes Partners, an institutional private equity platform that invests exclusively in healthcare real estate. He served in various roles, most recently as Assistant Vice President responsible for sourcing all financing on acquisition and development projects. He was directly responsible for sourcing over $3 billion in debt from lenders nationwide. Prior to Hammes, Patrick worked in equity research at Baird.
Patrick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He achieved the CFA designation in 2012.
