PATRICIA J. BIRCH has been with the company since 1986 and is currently Vice President and a stockholder. Having been raised in Miami and having functional proficiency in Spanish, she brings a comfortable familiarity with both the community and its second language to the practice of appraisal. In addition, she has experience in both apartment management and computer sales, which contributes to both the analysis process and the state of technology within the company.
Pat specializes in the investigation and analysis of commercial and industrial properties having appraised a range of property types from remote acreage to proposed apartments and hotels. She has been involved in appraisals prepared for litigation purposes and participates in the trial preparation process. She is a state certified general real estate appraiser, and a licensed real estate salesperson.
Pat is currently serving on the Florida Real Estate Appraisal board having been appointed to the board by Governor Jeb Bush in 2002 and again in 2003. She served as Chairman of that board during 2001. She has been appointed to the newly formed School Site Planning and Construction Committee that makes recommendations to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is serving a two year term. Pat was appointed to and served on the Unsafe Structures Board of Miami-Dade County for six years including as Chair and Vice Chair. She is a member of the Industrial Association of Dade County (IADC) and currently serves on its Program Committee. She is a member of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches and is a graduate of the 1991-1992 Class of Leadership Miami, a program sponsored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
As an advanced candidate of the Appraisal Institute, Pat is working toward her MAI designation, having completed all course work and having had her appraisal experience reviewed and approved by the Institute. She chairs the local Institute Chapter's Candidate Leadership Committee. In April 2002 she was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Florida International University, having majored in real estate and finance.
Pat has been an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Women - Miami (CREW), having served as its local chapter President. She has also chaired its Program Committee and has organized innovative and widely acclaimed programs on a variety of topics. Pat has also served as Chair of CREW's Newsletter and Job Bank committees and has represented the organization on the national level as a delegate to the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (NNCREW).
