Born and raised in the community, President and founder J. Park Shai III has been part of the local business landscape for over two decades. After majoring in business at the Ohio State University, Park opened his own catering business. That led to becoming the restaurant manager of a local favorite, Bryn Mawr, for the next three years.
Following his entrepreneurial instincts, he leveraged that management experience to start his own landscaping business. Within a few years, that success afforded him an opportunity to sell the landscaping business to a larger local landscaper. Park then went into sales and sales management with Michael’s Finer Meats & Seafood for eight years.
At this time his reputation, local relationships, and sales skills seemed to be a great fit for the real estate market. Getting his realtor’s license in 1995, he became a top producer in the 7 years he was with a local real estate company. He successfully obtained his Broker’s license and with his ever-present entrepreneurial spirit, Park opened SHAI Commercial, Ltd. in March 2003. With the growth and success at SHAI Commercial, as a veteran in commercial real estate for over ten years, Park has become the most respected and sought out name in the area.
His life would not be complete without the love and support of his wife, Holly, and their three daughters. With a deep-rooted sense of community and family values, they live on a farm in Granville.
