Bio
Recognized in the lodging industry as the top hotel broker in California, Oliver L. Shah was a founding member of Atlas Hospitality Group at its inception in 1997. Having several years of prior brokerage experience with a major national firm, Shah quickly established himself as the top performer in the hotel brokerage community. Shah was named Broker of the Year for 2001, 2000, 1999, and 1998. This is the fourth consecutive year he has earned this recognition. This award for outstanding achievement is presented annually to the top-producing agent in the firm. Since 1997 Shah has represented clients who closed over $500,000,000 of hotel sales, a record. Shah has represented such major clients as Tarsadia Hotels, Goldman Sachs, MOA Hospitality, Sunstone Hotel Investors, Pacifica Enterprises, Pinnacle Companies, Rubin Pachulski Properties, Bartell Hotels, Vagabond Inns, Tiburon Hospitality, Hanford Hotels, Indigo Hotels, Global Hotel Group, Baney Corporation, Ocwen Financial, AMRESCO, JE Robert Companies, and numerous other real estate and lending institutions. Shah was born in London, England. His father had started a trading company in East Africa, expanding to India and then to the United Kingdom. Finally, Shah's family moved to California where they started various hotel and restaurant businesses. Shah notes that a major factor of his success is due to his experiences with the family businesses and from his experiences in traveling to over 40 countries. Graduating from the University of Denver, Colorado, Shah earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business. His education and his extensive international travel experience have enabled him to deal proficiently with people from various cultures and customs, making him the most valued member of the Atlas team. "I am committed to my clients," Shah says. "Putting their needs and goals foremost, my focus is on achieving results. I go that extra mile, putting in a lot of hard work. This commitment, plus the shared market knowledge and teamwork approach with my associates at Atlas Hospitality Group has enabled me to close the volume of transactions that I have."
