Niles Chumney is a third generation San Antonian who has spent much of the last 15 years in the wine and restaurant business. After graduating from Texas Military Institute in 1985, Niles went on to Tulane University in New Orleans. Inspired by the Uptown Garden District’s history and it’s beautiful homes, Niles took a number of courses in the history of architecture and art. After three years in New Orleans, Niles returned to the University of Texas at San Antonio. He eventually earned a degree in history with an emphasis on Latin American Studies. Travels in Mexico, South America, and studies in Guatemala reinforced his love of Latin American culture. Having renovated several houses over the years, Niles is also familiar with construction techniques and the renovation of older homes. King William Realty is excited to have someone with Niles’ extensive knowledge of the culture of San Antonio assisting clients find a home in any part of the city.
