Bio
In 1997, Kreipke founded Desert Viking after a construction and renovation career that began in Tucson, AZ. Upon returning to the Valley Kreipke focused his business on full-time property development, design-build management projects, as well as rehabilitation projects, including historic properties, shopping centers and freestanding commercial buildings. Kreipke currently oversees the acquisition, development, construction and management of real estate properties in the Greater Phoenix Metro area with special emphasis and passion in the restoration of historic properties.
Over the past sixteen years, Kreipke has acquired and/or rehabilitated over 20 National Register Historic properties in the Valley. In addition to adaptive reuse projects that have a long lasting positive impact on the neighboring communities, Kreipke has overseen the development of both ground-up commercial and residential sites. These projects have ranged from small commercial additions and new builds, to the construction of single-family homes and small subdivisions.
Recently Desert Viking completed an urban infill 79-unit townhome development in downtown Chandler known as San Marcos Commons, as well as the redevelopment of an 18,000 sf commercial property known as The Crown, located on 7th Street in Phoenix. The company is currently focused on a mixed use infill project located in Roosevelt Row Historic District called The Blocks of Roosevelt Row, as well as several other signature projects. Kreipke is also a partner in Venture REI, which is a full-service real estate brokerage firm with over 45 active agents. Kreipke has also served as Chairman of Chandler’s Architectural Review committee, been President of the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, and is a board member of the Arizona Preservation Foundation. He holds a commercial and general contractor license and resides in Scottsdale, AZ.
