Nicole Carter is a 3rd generation Chico native. After graduating from Chico State, she worked for local companies such as Tri Counties Bank and InterWest Insurance. She relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 2006 to work for Rick Caruso, an American billionaire businessman, and philanthropist. She began her career in real estate development at Rick’s company “Caruso”, a renowned real-estate company specializing in the development of high-end shopping centers, residential and hospitality projects. After spending 8 years at Caruso, she took an opportunity to work for Jeffery Katzenberg at DreamWorks Animation working in a newly created retail development division. Traveling to over 17 countries, she oversaw the retail development sales division working closely with owners and investors of shopping centers around the world. In 2017, she decided that it was time to move back to Chico to be closer to family and start a family of her own. It was then that she was introduced to Dan Gonzales and began the opportunity to work on the Meriam Park development as the Vice President of Business Development. In this role she oversees all marketing and sales and leasing efforts for the master planned community.
