Neftali “Nef” Cortez has worked full-time in the Real Estate Brokerage and Financing Industries since being first licensed as an agent in 1976 and Real Estate Broker in 1984. Over 45 years of experience in real estate, his work is more than just business! He understands that the property a client buys will be a place where someone creates memories for a good portion of their life.
Mr. Cortez began his real estate career at Red Carpet in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Joining International Real Estate Network in Norwalk California in 1978, he obtained his Real Estate Salesman License working from 1978 to 1980. With these experiences, Mr. Cortez committed to a career in the Real Estate industry. From International Real Estate Network, he built the basics and foundation of what would be an exceptional and dedicated career; spanning nearly 45 years.
Mr. Cortez progressed as Partner/Broker at Realty World Action from 1980 to 1997. In this capacity, Mr. Cortez and business partners expanded the company’s service by opening an escrow, mortgage division, insurance and termite businesses. His work at Realty World, Prudential California Realty, Century 21 Masters in Walnut, California, and thereafter transferring to RE/MAX Universal Realty formerly known as RE/MAX Realty 100 in Diamond Bar in 2007, where he works as associate Broker/realtor.
He has managed and sold foreclosed properties for: Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase Bank, and other vendors as a preferred Real Estate Broker, representing Banks in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. Nef has expanded his work into related fields of business to expand his knowledge in the housing industry.
Mr. Cortez is involved in community; YMCA board member, Youth and Family Club of Pomona Valley member, Pomona Chamber of Commerce, and other varied associations and boards to stay up-to-date on current policy issues related to the real estate industry.
