Ned Shekels, Senior Vice President, has been with Pennsylvania Commercial Real Estate, Inc. since 1994. Ned began his real estate career in 1977 with Northwood Realty where he was the Commercial Division Manager for two years. Ned then joined K. Goldsmith & Company, Inc. in 1979 and was the top producer for eight of his ten years with the company.
During his thirty years in the commercial/industrial brokerage industry, he has sold and leased over 4,000,000 square feet and handled hundreds of transactions for various property owners, developers, hospitals, banks, corporations and law firms in the tri-county areas.
Several of the more interesting projects in Ned’s thirty year career was the relocation of the Western Pennsylvania Historical Society to their new 200,000 square foot Senator John Heinz History center in the Strip District handling the sale and purchase of the 96,000 square foot warehouse conversion to high end lofts in the Strip District (the first large loft conversion in the city), the leasing and development consultant for the new Wharton Plaza in the South Side, handling the sale of the 520,000 square foot Ames Distribution Center in McKeesport, PA, sale of the five acre Equitable Gas Utility Facility site located on the South Side to Mercy Hospital and the sale of a 140 unit Park Plaza apartment complex in the North Hills.
After serving for three years as a Sergeant in the Army and a tour of duty in Vietnam, Ned received his B.S. from Robert Morris College in 1975 in Business Management with a minor in Accounting.
