Mitchell Freeman brings over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate to Water Street Properties, as both a private investor and in senior positions in real estate investment banking, acquisitions, finance and management. His previous experience includes Fuji-Wolfensohn Inc., a joint venture between James D. Wolfensohn, Inc., the international investment banking firm, and Fuji Bank; Corporate Property Investors, a privately traded real estate investment trust (REIT) founded by Lazard Freres; and J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. In addition, he served as head of acquisitions east of the Mississippi for Mitsui Real Estate Sales, a subsidiary of Mitsui Fudosan. During the 10 years prior to founding WSP with Todd Taylor, Mitchell had been a private investor, successfully drawing on and expanding his network of investment partners. As an entrepreneur, Mitchell founded a number of real-estate related ventures, and has served on the Boards of Directors of several publicly traded companies. He was also Chairman of the Board of Replications, Inc., a not-for-profit in the public education space focused on replicating successful public school models, that served over 26,000 New York City public school students. Mitchell holds an MBA from Columbia University and a B.A. from George Washington University.
