Mike Keely joined CBRE Brokerage Services in 2014 as a Senior Vice President to lead the Agency practice for the Office Specialty Group in Oakland, CA. Mr. Keely’s vast background in leasing institutionally-owned office portfolios throughout Northern California provides CBRE’s clients with his unparalleled experience and strategic acumen. Having worked directly for some of the largest global investment funds and REITs, Mr. Keely thinks like an investor and understands the strategies and tactics necessary to achieve exemplary results. Previously, Mr. Keely was the Senior Leasing Director for CBRE Asset Services in Oakland. He oversaw all leasing activities for the 1.6 million square foot office complex in downtown Oakland. Mr. Keely was responsible for all leasing activities associated with this seven building office project including annual budgeting, lease negotiations, tenant improvement costs, monthly reporting, marketing and advertising, and broker relations. Mike worked closely with ownership to develop annual budgets and strategic plan for the successful leasing of the project. Mr. Keely interfaced daily with ownership to insure successful implementation of the annual plan. Before starting at CBRE, Mr. Keely was the Leasing Director for Brandywine Realty Trust (formerly Prentiss Properties, LTD). He was responsible for overall leasing activities for both REIT owned and third party assets in Sacramento, Santa Clara, and Oakland, CA. Projects varied from a 600,000 square foot suburban campus in Sacramento to 1.7 million square feet of high-rise office space in downtown Oakland. Duties included marketing and advertising, lease negotiations, budget and report preparation for asset manager and Wall Street analysts and quarterly forecasts. Mr. Keely managed third party brokerage efforts on projects where a third-party brokerage firm was engaged and worked with disposition teams to assist in the successful disposition of all assets. He also served as broker of record for all Brandywine licensed employees in California. Previously, Mr. Keely was the Leasing Manager for Heitman Properties, LTD. He was responsible for the overall leasing activities in an approximately 3.0 million square foot office and industrial portfolio located in Marin County, South San Francisco, Oakland, Tracy, and Sacramento, CA, and Reno, NV. Duties included direct leasing, managing third party brokers, lease negotiations, budget preparation, strategic planning, and reporting to asset manager on a daily basis. Mr. Keely worked with disposition teams to assist in the successful disposition of all assets.
