Bio
Michael Eisenga is a fourth generation native of Columbia County Wisconsin, and former mayor of Columbus, who at age 28 started investing in companies that are now successful enterprises.
Eisenga is president of American Lending Solutions, a mortgage lending company doing business in 11 states. He is also president of First American Properties, which owns highway retail and commercial real estate developments, assisted living homes, and Kestrel Ridge Golf Club in Columbus.
Eisenga, who has three young sons, has been an active member and supporter of the city of Columbus, his hometown. As former mayor of Columbus, he instituted a number of “good government” reforms, including the creation of a city administrator’s position, a Community Development Authority, a 20-year city “smart growth’’ plan, spending controls, and a city street maintenance program. As mayor, he oversaw the creation of three new subdivisions, six new businesses and the construction of a new community pool.
He has also been a supporter of a number of city organizations efforts and programs, many of them supporting the city’s youth and the city’s historic preservation efforts. His golf course is a regular venue for city and state charitable fundraising efforts. He has donated to the city’s community endowment, high school programs, fundraisers for the hospital, and to the city’s police department equipment fund.
Eisenga is passionate about economic development, from hometown economics to national initiatives. He is an active member of a number of nationwide advisory boards that focus on ecomic development issues for the nation's governors and the U.S. Congress. Eisenga is the former Mayor of Columbus, WI.
