Michael Turbyfill serves as Regional Vice President of Construction for the Southern California region of Mill Creek Residential. Mr. Turbyfill has a variety of experience that includes; mixed-use podium, complex wrap, high rise, retail, senior housing as well as master planned communities California wide. Since joining Mill Creek in early 2018, he manages the Southern California construction teams and assists the development teams with ongoing design and pre-construction.
Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Turbyfill’s served as Assistant Vice President of Construction Development for Equity Residential in the Southern California region. He was responsible for more than 1 billion dollars in new development and construction, approximately 4000 apartment homes. From 2006 through 2012, Mr. Turbyfill worked as Vice President of Construction for smaller development groups and was responsible for construction of 23 multifamily projects in the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Turbyfill has worked in several leadership capacities across California with roles at Avalon Bay as Senior Project Manager, KB Homes as Director of Construction, John Laing Homes as Division Construction Manager and Del Webb Communities as Lead Superintendent. Over his career, he has participated in the development and construction of over 10 thousand multifamily residential homes and 15 thousand single family homes since 1987.
Mr. Turbyfill holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Colton University and a Master of Science in Project Management from Walden University.
