Over his 42 year career, Michael has negotiated over 5000 commercial lease or sale transactions totaling over 100 million square feet, with total consideration in excess of $20 billion dollars. Michael represents firms seeking strategic advice and flawless execution to match their business plans as well as value-add institutional owners of property in Silicon Valley. Over 90% of his annual volume is based on repeat and referral business.
Michael started in the business in 1981 with Blickman Turkus right after graduating from Santa Clara University with a BSC in Finance, focusing on industrial and manufacturing leasing and sales. With the evolving Silicon Valley transitioning from an industrial marketplace to a high-tech environment, Michael joined industry leader Colliers International in 1987 to better serve his growing list of technology and institutional owner clients.
In 1994, Michael was inducted into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), the premier real estate organization in the world, where membership is secured through invitation only, and earned by tenured performance and the strictest adherence to the highest ethical standards. Michael served as the 2001 Northern California SIOR President. In 1996, Michael received his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CIREI). He is also an active member of the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB).
