Bio
Michael Myrick's business practice focuses on real estate advisory services and representing public and private property owners of commercial real estate assets. Myrick is a trusted advisor and leader in the field. His proficiency is proven in the strategic goals and long-term financial benefits of his Metro Phoenix and national clients. Specializing in industrial, office, and land properties, Myrick guides his clients through the complicated process of clarifying their real estate needs, identifying alternatives, and negotiating a lease, sale, or purchase that fits their overall business strategy. His multifaceted perspective on his client's unique needs gives him the ability to circumvent obstacles and ensure a successful outcome. His substantial investment, finance, and principal background are invaluable in understanding how to manage challenging and competitive development, lease and sale transactions and provide his clients and investors with sophisticated and goal-oriented real estate investment advice.
Myrick's brokerage career developed from his deep financial experience in the debt and equity structure and the development process. His background as a leasing listing agent, tenant rep agent, working for a fund, and an owner gives him the unique ability to understand all sides of a transaction.
Myrick's development expertise includes a comprehensive background in construction, architectural, and design elements of build-to-suit and ground-up transactions. He has consulted, in part, through the budgeting process, in assessing "true" opportunity costing on evaluation and site selection. Myrick has also worked through the entitlement process from the municipal submittal process, including planning, zoning, and lobbying for risk entitlement and management endeavors. He rejoined NAI Horizon in 2019 after almost 20 years at two other national brokerage firms.
Myrick is responsible for facilitating a real estate transactions on behalf of a local Arizona school district that provided over $140 million in long-term funding for public education while retaining ownership of the property. He currently acts in an advisory capacity to a large national financial institution and has also worked for one of the largest private equity funds in the U.S. and globally. Additionally, Myrick is a lead syndicator and developer of numerous successful real estate assets locally and nationally.
