Melanie Hickey was raised in McCall, Idaho, and graduated from Boise State in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Marketing. After living in Boise, and gaining years of experience in different avenues of marketing/advertising, she relocated to Weiser with her family. Previous to becoming a Realtor, Melanie worked for several years as the advertising director for a large real estate company and owned 2 successful businesses in the Boise area, therefore, broadening her range as a real estate marketeer. In her tenure as a Realtor, Melanie has been successful in growing her clientele and annual sales production as she continues to excel in selling properties ranging from building lots and agricultural grounds, single-family homes, and Boise Riverfront luxury homes, to McCall vacation homes!
Melanie partners with Francene Hickey, and with their complimentary real estate styles and wide range of real estate expertise, Francene and Melanie have become 2 of the top-selling agents in our area! She was recently honored as the Four Rivers Association of Realtors 2020 Realtor of the Year!
In addition to real estate services, Melanie started her own Property Management Company, Two Rivers Property Management, in late 2008. She currently manages over 100 properties in the Weiser, Payette, and Fruitland areas. The need for rentals in her area continues to grow, and she has become a great resource for investors looking to purchase rental properties, as well as a great point of initial contact when people move to the area and are looking for a home to rent until they are ready to buy. Her tenants and rental contacts have proven to be a diverse buyer pool for local sellers.
Francene and Melanie pride themselves on their diverse marketing strategies that allow properties to be viewed by buyers everywhere and anywhere! Locally, they advertise in the Weiser Signal. In today's real estate market, the best place to market properties is online, and Francene and Melanie make sure their client's properties are everywhere a potential buyer may be looking. All properties in the local multiple listing services automatically go to hundreds of real estate websites; however, the Hickey's add marketing features on sites such as Zillow.com, Realtor.com, Listingbook.com, and Facebook to better market properties with additional photos, text, and contact information.
The best marketing can come from the right networking channels. Melanie currently serves as a member of the Weise Economic Development Task Force. Francene & Melanie pride themselves in their relationships with fellow real estate professionals. They are active in their local board and real estate tours and contribute annually to great local groups such as the Weiser School programs, Love INC, Weiser Memorial Hospital, Weiser Weiser Senior Center, and the Ho-Ho Express.
