Matt Yunker joins Hunter & Maddox with a decade of diverse real estate experience, including significant commercial transaction management. He has collaborated with private clients, developers, and institutional investors on the purchase and sale of a variety of unique assets across various product categories – including California agricultural, and land properties.
Whether collaborating with first-time buyers or experienced investors, Matt’s market knowledge, professionalism, and client-focused approach ensure a smooth and successful buying or selling experience. With a background in marketing communications, Matt prides himself on crafting tailored marketing plans that reach the right audience and maximize value for sellers. Collaborating with the client, he utilizes the latest in digital, print, and social media to create highly visual, impactful marketing programs that capture the unique character of each property.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors; and a master’s degree from San Diego State University. He is a published author (Western Journal of Communication Studies), and an active member of several professional and community-based organizations, including the University of San Diego Real Estate Alumni Association where he is a past Board Member.
A Southern California native and longtime San Diego resident, Matt loves the distinct communities that make up SD, and is passionate about living the active, healthy lifestyle this beautiful place affords. In his spare time, you can find him surfing, practicing yoga, training, and exploring all things slow food at a local Farmers’ Market or neighborhood eatery.
