Bio
Matthew has over 20 years of commercial real estate, investment and construction/development experience. He has represented retail and office tenants as well as buyers, sellers and landlords of properties. He also represents the sale of businesses when the majority of the underlying asset value is commercial real estate. Matthew has led investment groups in acquisitions and development and has the ability to put his experiences to work for all his other clients.
Matthew has worked with Dollar General Corporation as a contract consultant to restructure a portion of its lease portfolio. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Belmont University. He has also studied commercial real estate investment at New York University and holds a C.C.I.M. (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation.
Matthew is an alumnus of Young Leaders Council, he was the 2010 Board Chair for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity and he is an active member of Downtown Nashville Rotary Club. He takes his business experience back into the classroom as an adjunct faculty member of Belmont University's business school. Matthew was recently nominated as an honorary member of Belmont's chapter of Sigma Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Honor Society for his achieved distinction as an entrepreneur. He was nominated with other community leaders as a 'New Face in Philanthropy' for his work in the community and most recently, he was awarded a Nashville Emerging Leaders Award by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce in the Real Estate category for both his professional accomplishments and community leadership. He is an active member at Christ the King in Nashville and is an avid runner, completing several marathons. Matthew resides in Nashville with his wife, Tara, and daughter, Kennedy.
