Matt Strockis is a Senior Director in C&W’s Brokerage Services, with over 25 years of commercial real estate experience throughout San Diego County and Mexico. His focus and expertise has been North San Diego County since 2000. During his career, Mr. Strockis has successfully marketed many of San Diego County’s largest business parks including: Bressi Ranch Corporate Center (150 acres), Carlsbad Research Center II (52 acres), Stonecrest Corporate Center (300 acres), Wateridge (125 acres), and Carmel Mountain Ranch Business Parks (75 acres).
Along with the Bressi Ranch and CRC-II land sales, additional significant North County assignments include the leasing of the 325,000 square foot (sf) Carlsbad Pointe; 110,000 sf, Carlsbad Tech Center; and the four building 215,000 sf, Northpointe Business Park in Carlsbad. Mr. Strockis has assisted on numerous value-added investment sales including the 80,000 sf, 2310 & 2320 Camino Vida Roble flex property for $10 million, and the 64,000 sf / 11.5 acre, Escondido Crossroads property for $13.5 million. In 2007, he assisted in the structuring and financing of the 75,250 sf Life Technologies world headquarters lease in Carlsbad, a 20-year net lease valued at $42 million.
He has in-depth experience and actively represents tenants. Among others, Mr. Strockis has successfully completed over 50 lease transactions throughout the San Diego area on behalf of L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL), one the nations largest defense contractors, having represented L-3 in San Diego for over 20 years.
Mr. Strockis has been a consistent top producer within his specialty, earning Top Five awards in multiple years throughout his career. In 2004, he received a prestigious CRA Deal Maker of the Year award for San Diego County. On multiple occasions, he has been a North County “Market Expert” guest speaker for the NAIOP (eliminate 2003 and 2005 reference).
Mr. Strockis received his Batchelor of Arts in Economics, with an emphasis in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
