Matt Battiata is the CEO, Broker & Lead Agent for the Battiata Real Estate Group. He was named the #1 agent in California & #5 worldwide in 2001 (RE Int.), was featured in the book “Billion Dollar Agent” by Steve Kantor and has been the among the top selling agents in North America since 2001, selling 200-300 homes per year.Matt trains real estate agents across the country and regularly appears on local network TV news and radio broadcasts as a real estate expert. He has been featured in The San Diego Union Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The San Diego Daily Transcript & The San Diego Business Journal. Matt is married to his wife of 17 years, Amy. They have 5 children. ..Matt is an avid swimmer, surfer, stand up paddle surfer and sailor. Matt is a former tall ship captain, licensed by the United States Coast Guard, and has sailed schooners and tall ships everywhere from Maine and New England to the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, Hawaii & California.
Matt last served aboard the Tall Ship Californian, a 145 ft. Square Topsail Schooner, which has been designated the Official Tall Ship of the State of California. Matt is also the owner and winemaker for The Battiata Family Winery, which he operates with his wife and children at their home in Southern California. The Battiata Winery produces about 250 cases per year and has won Gold, Silver & Bronze medals at both the California State Fair & Orange County Fair Wine Competitions.
