Mr. Zimmerman’s wide range of responsibilities at Pope & Land include leadership in office and mixed-use development in Metro Atlanta, Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Zimmerman has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate investment, development, brokerage and leasing. He joined the company in 1996 after 8 years with AMLI Realty Co where he served as a Vice President responsible for AMLI’s portfolio of multi-use properties in Georgia. He has been a Top 5 Producer in multiple categories in the NAIOP Million Dollar Club and Top 5 in Office Leasing for the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. He is the owner of a real estate service and investment company, Western & Atlantic Development, LLC and a partner in the consulting firm, Strategic City.
Mr. Zimmerman graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and obtained the real estate designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Mr. Zimmerman is a founding member of the Town Center Area CID where he has served as either Vice-Chairman or Chairman since its inception in 1998. Additionally, Mason has served on the Board of the Cumberland CID since 2003, serves on the Board of Little Five Points CID, was the Chairman of the Council for Quality Growth in 2013 and obtained membership in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). Mason has held Board and leadership positions in numerous philanthropic organizations and trade organizations including National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Ministries, Gwinnett FCA and the Town Center Community Alliance.
He and his wife, Shelley, have three adult children and live Peachtree Corners.
