Mary Mike’s family moved to the Ozarks in the mid-1950s and it has been Home to the clan ever since… except for education and other life adventures!
Mary Mike grew up in a family of farmers. Her grandfather was a wheat farmer in Kansas, her father a dairy farmer in the Ozarks and she was co-owner of a black Angus beef operation. Horses have been a passion and as a teenager she rode a little bay mare (and later a strawberry roan Tennessee Walker) over the back-country “hills & hollers”. She raised a family of interesting and determined children on acreage just outside West Plains; was co-owner of a pharmacy and several gift shops, and is familiar with retail and commercial operations and real estate as well as farms, ranches and recreational property. She currently resides with a domineering part-Siamese Cat, and spends much quality–time in the hills.
Mary Mike has a BS degree in Business from Missouri State University and is a REALTOR®, licensed in Missouri since 1989 and Arkansas since 1992. She has done extensive post graduate work with the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute® (CIREI), as well as earning several designations: the Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant® (C-CREC®), the National Association of REALTORS’® sustainability program (GREEN®), and the National Association of Home Builders’® Certified Green Professional (CGP®).
Community activities include the West Plains Chamber of Commerce, the City of West Plains Tourism Board, the Missouri Ozarks’ Old Time Music Festival, West Plains Downtown Revitalization, Inc., Friends of Parkside House (a historic renovation project in the Butler Children’s Park), the Alford Forest Land Trust on the Bryant River, and the Southern Missouri Home Builders’ Association.
Mary Mike enjoys land, homes, living and working spaces… and working with people who want to buy or sell homes, land, or some type of real estate. She is an expert with over 26 years of experience working with buyers and sellers, real estate developers and builders, ranchers and planners.
