Bio
Mary Claire has been with AHC since 2010, and she became Director of Greater Baltimore in 2018. She focuses on development efforts in Maryland with support for initiatives throughout the region. This includes leading AHC’s efforts to redevelop the O’Donnell Heights and Poe Homes public housing communities in partnership with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City. Prior to joining AHC, she managed affordable housing developments with Victory Housing and Wesley Housing Development Corporation.

Her experience includes the creation, renovation, and recapitalization of nearly 2,800 homes. Mary Claire earned a master’s degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition and the Women’s Housing Coalition. She also served on the Housing Committee for Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s transition team in 2023.
