Since joining the firm in 1986, Mark has been instrumental in driving the growth of the firm in Southern California. Mark’s commitment to Savills was recognized and rewarded when he was appointed to the firm’s national board of directors in 2003. As Southern California’s regional manager, Mark is responsible for setting the strategic goals for the firm’s four Southern California offices in Downtown Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. In addition to his strategic leadership role, Mark has an accomplished track record of executing a diverse array of transactions from mid- to large-scale initiatives. Mark’s hands-on approach has given him a unique understanding of the common pitfalls in commercial real estate and the best solutions to address them. Mark is often recognized in publications such as the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Business Journal and Real Estate Southern California as one of the top Tenant Rep brokers in Southern California. Mark is also active in the representation of professional services firms and is one of the leaders of Savills'National Law Firm Practice Group. In his role as a senior strategist, Mark applies an aggressive negotiating style that achieves results for his clients. He is an active participant in the entire real estate process and as the lead executive, coordinates the overall strategy based on the individual needs of his clients. Depending on each clients’ needs, Mark assembles and leads the core delivery team comprised of Savills professionals; each team member is selected based on their skill set and level of expertise. Mark has recently served in this capacity in the negotiation of headquarters lease transactions (global or regional) for Comcast Entertainment Group, Westfield Corporation, Panavision, Inc., Teledyne Technologies, Nuveen Investments, Trailer Park, EMI (Capitol Records), Sanyo Fisher, Rubin Postaer and Associates, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, The City of Los Angeles, Modern VideoFilm, and law firms Wilmer Hale, Wilson Elser, Sedgwick LLP, Holme Roberts & Owen, Gordon & Rees, and Best Best & Krieger.
