Mark began his real estate career in 1977 as a residential sales person. In 1984 he started Copperwood Investments in order to concentrate on the commercial/industrial market and to market his strengths in sales, investments, and build-to-suit projects. The opportunity to offer his clients a more complete package of real estate services arose in 1992 with the acquisition of a construction company, Benson-Orth Associates. Born and raised in Minneapolis as the second oldest in a family of four boys, Mark graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1975, and married Joan in 1978. Mark and Joan have two daughters, Nicole and Jennifer, both attending the University of MN in Duluth. They currently live west of Excelsior on Lake Minnetonka. He has been active in youth sports, Rotary, Zuhrah Shriners and on the Foundation Board for the Waconia Ridgeview Medical Center, and Market Board of KleinBank. Mark enjoys flying, car racing, tennis, downhill skiing, travel, and his work (he really loves his work).
