Mark is the President of Savills Texas region and works closely with the firm’s leaders to grow and foster collaboration within Savills Texas markets. Mark also serves on the Brokerage Board of Directors for Savills. As a tenured leader, Mark represents many of the region’s largest tenants, with a focus on energy, engineering and law firms. Mark has vast experience with build-to-suits, traditional leases, ownership, non-traditional leases, dispositions and restructuring options. Mark collaborates with various Savills consultants to provide his clients strategic direction using data analytics coupled with vast real estate knowledge to create advantages for his clients. This approach allows Mark provide his clients flexibility, risk protection, real estate cost reduction, labor cost advantage, workplace optimization, maximization of incentives, among other factors.
Mark is consistently recognized each year as one of the Houston’s most productive tenant rep brokers. Mark previously received NAIOP’s “Broker of the Year” award in 2015 and has been a finalist on several occasions. In 2013, Mark was the number one producer at Savills, and has been consistently ranked among the top 10 producers in the firm since he joined the firm in 2003. In 2013, Mark and his team were awarded Houston NAIOP’s 2013 "Office Transaction of the Year”. He is frequently selected to speak as an expert at commercial real estate industry conferences. Mark’s many community activities include serving as a board member for Camp Gary Fund a non-profit to honor one of Mark’s best friends who passed from a Brain Tumor. In 2022, Camp Gary raised over $200,000 in support of various charities which Gary Hale wished to support and in Mr. Hale’s memory. Mark is a member of The Dad’s Club at Episcopal High School, involved with Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital, served on the Board of Directors of the Men’s Golf Association at Champions Golf Club, served on the real estate committee for St. Francis School and coached of youth sports at Post Oak Little League, Post Oak YMCA and Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. Mark previously served on the development committee of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts (MFAH) and was a member/contributor to the World Health & Golf Association, which supports the First Tee program and Texas Medical Center’s research and immunization registry. Mark has also done volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity by raising funds and assisting with construction of newly built homes. Mark has also been on the board of directors and served as treasurer and secretary for the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA).
