Specialty Commercial Brokerage, Real Estate Acquisition and Development, Leasing and Sales, Restructuring and Workout, Corporate Service Background Mark began his career in Boston with Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate office as an income property specialist, where he participated in the listing and sale of $53 million of commercial income property in the New England market. As Vice President of Marketing he exclusively represented Intercontinental Developers Inc., of Boston, Massachusetts in the acquisition, sales and leasing of the commercial portfolio, which consisted of $51 million of commercial space, $25 million of apartments, and $72 million of commercial and residential development. He also represented investors in the acquisition and development of the Health Stop walk in medical centers in New England. Mark created and initiated acquisition plans for apartments and development projects in the New England market. He also developed and managed budgets and marketing plans for the renovation and new construction of condominiums and office buildings. He also directed the purchase of commercial investment properties for a joint venture with a Boston based financial institution. As President of State Street Realty Advisors, Mark represented Intercontinental Developers Inc. in leasing of the Boston commercial office portfolio. He also worked with investors and institutions in the acquisition of apartments nationwide including Intercontinental Developers Inc., and TA Associates. Mark exclusively represented the Crow Family Realty Trust in implementing and leasing the conversion of 220,000 square feet vacant showroom and industrial space in the Boston Design Center. In 1999, Mark was hired by Amherst College as a consultant to initiate a new Housing Program with the goal of selling Senior Faculty houses with a repurchase agreement to qualified Faculty members. In 2002, Mark became Amherst College’s Director of Rental Properties, where he developed a department to oversee the sales and management of Faculty housing. In addition, he managed the housing and commercial real estate for Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College and Smith College, where he coordinated the real estate programs for each college, managed the operations, budgets and program development within the guidelines of each institution. In 2009, Mark joined NAI Plotkin in Springfield, Massachusetts as Director of Business Development. During this time, he also worked in the Commercial Brokerage Department specializing in office leasing and investment properties. In 2011, Mark joined the OPAL Real Estate Group as Vice President of Brokerage. In this position he was involved in all aspects of Commercial Real Estate sales and leasing as well as acquisitions. His responsibilities included overseeing the activities of the Commercial Brokerage group.
