Mark has extensive work experience in many aspects of land management including natural resources, regulation, oil/gas/coal mineral, mineral rights title research, and environmental issues. He has worked on offshore and onshore oil &amp; gas drilling operations. Mark has also worked in the coal industry in positions of reclamation, mining, survey and regulation; both for coal companies and with the State of Alabama. He has also has extensive experience as a land agent with the USX/USS Land Department as a geologist, leasing agent and land agent. Mark also has several years experience as an Independent Petroleum Landman and is a licensed geologist. Mark’s professional skills include extensive use of GIS and mapping relating to geologic projects, natural resource evaluations, oil and gas leasing operations, and environmental and legal/government issues relating to land and mineral rights. <br>Mark has extensive education including a B.S. in Geology from UA (1984), a Masters of Environmental Management from Samford University (1997), a Masters of Business Administration from Samford University (1999), and a Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law (2002). He also served on the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists and was one of seven original board members. Mark is active in the Black Warrior Association of Professional Landmen and currently serves as its President. He is also a member of national American Association of Professional Landmen and attained “Registered Professional Landman” status therein. Mark is a newly licensed real estate agent and looks forward to all aspects of real estate sales &amp; management.<br>
