Bio
Mr. Shandler moved to Washington in 1991 to attend the Washington College of Law at American University. While in law school, he served as an intern for several law firms specializing in real estate law. He graduated from WCL in 1994 and became a member of the Maryland Bar later that same year. After passing the Bar, he spent two years developing clients in China for American Parts and Equipment Corporation, a trading company located in Edison, New Jersey that specializes in the sales of coal mining equipment. In 1996, Mr. Shandler joined Carey Winston/Barrueta (now Transwestern) in Washington, D.C. as a junior agent representing both tenants and landlords in leasing transactions. In 1997, he was hired by West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors and focused primarily on tenant representation, where he received the Washington Board of Realtors "Million Dollar Club" award in 1999. Mr. Shandler joined Insignia/ESG (now CB/Richard Ellis) in 2001 where he serviced both landlord and tenant clients and joined Richard McBride at McBride Real Estate Services in May of 2004 as a Principal. Mr. Shandler solely focuses on tenant representation and consultation services and has been responsible for lease negotiations on behalf of many law firms, associations and corporations in Washington, D.C. His legal training and past experience representing both landlords and tenants has proven to be invaluable in representing his current clientele.
