Mr. Shuler serves as a Vice President – Acquisitions & Asset Management for Easterly Government Properties. Mr. Shuler’s primary responsibilities include the underwriting, structuring, closing, and disposing of investments, as well as the asset management for a portion of the firm’s portfolio, including managing the financial performance of the assets, property operations, leasing, capital planning and investment, and tenant satisfaction. Mr. Shuler has over 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has acquired, developed, leased, brokered, and financed assets valued at approximately $5 billion. Prior to joining Easterly, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Public Sector Practice where he assisted U.S. Government agencies with various aspects of their owned and leased real estate portfolios. Prior to that, he served as Director for Shuler Realty Advisors where he represented Westbrook Partners, a New York City-based commercial real estate opportunity fund, in the Washington, DC region and as Director of Development, Acquisitions, and Leasing for Tishman Speyer. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shuler worked for Eastdil Secured and Wachovia Capital Markets’ Leveraged Finance group. Mr. Shuler earned his MPA from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and BBA in Finance from the College of William and Mary.
