Bio
Louis Seminara began his career in the construction field in 1965 shortly after graduating from Dennis Yarmouth High School. He began working in the Masonry business for four years under the supervision of Jim Barry in the Mid Cape area before starting his own business. After a few years on his own, he started Seminara Construction Corp. and built and designed many, many beautiful homes in the Mid Cape area. In the mid eighties, he began developing land and created quality neighborhoods with unique designs in subdivisions throughout the Mid Cape area, namely Coles Pond Estates in East Dennis, Great Marsh Estates in West Barnstable and Fuller Farm Estates in Centerville. Always known for his attention to detail and efficient floor plans, photos of many of his homes have graced the pages of some very popular Cape Cod magazines. Lou’s wife Anne, moved to Cape Cod from Attleboro, MA in the early seventies with her family. Although Anne’s background was in photography and travel, it quickly changed to bookkeeping and real estate, after their marriage in 1980. After raising their children, she joined Seminara Construction Corp. on a full-time basis, always ready to assist her husband with many of the details the construction business demands. Over the years, Lou and Anne built several retail/commercial/industrial buildings on the Cape with leasing capacity of all sizes, that Anne manages currently. Together, they have tried to maintain a business practice of fairness and consideration with their tenants, many who have been with them over twenty years. Their daughter, Amanda lives nearby with her husband Todd and daughter. Todd supervises field procedures, technical issues, and maintenance repairs with the buildings and Amanda works in the business office scheduling, bookkeeping and estimating. Having grown-up in a construction family she was a natural as she pursued a degree in Construction Technology. Quite proficient on the computer, Amanda has been invaluable to her parents as they have brought their business into the computer age from their “old school” practices of bookkeeping with pencil and paper. Lou and Anne enjoy spending time with family and friends relaxing in their backyard.
