Leala Jimerson grew up in Casper, Wyoming, where her family homesteaded, spending most of her time outdoors riding horseback. When she isn’t riding, she is mountain biking, hiking, and taking care of chores related to all the critters, sheep, goats, cows, horses, etc. She grew up fishing, bird hunting, and hunting elk, antelope, and deer.
She moved to Chadron 25 years ago, where she spent 14 years as a partner in a construction business with ex-husband and his family. She started her own ceramic tile installation business. Her entrepreneurial spirit has moved her to startup businesses making horse and dog treats, and natural, hand-crafted soaps, and lip balms. She attended Chadron State College and American College of Healthcare Sciences as a nontraditional student where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Arts with a major in Business Administration, with options in management and agri-business. She also graduated with a certificate to manufacture natural products. Since high school, she has been interested in real estate, from land, architectural, interior design and construction. Because of this, as she was working toward her degree, she also focused on real estate and obtained a Nebraska real estate license. She enjoys helping people move on to the next chapter in their lives!
Today, Leala Jimerson still does the occasional remodel project on her rentals, or to flip. She still has a passion for horses…they are her second love next to her kids!! Free time is rare nowadays, but when she finds the time, she still enjoys hiking and biking. She’s also discovered an enjoyment of paddle boarding, kayaking, and riding a motorcycle….she loves being outdoors!!
