Bio
Laura started in commercial real estate with PW Commercial Real Estate in 2018, before merging with Darwin in June 2022. Mainly focusing on her Industrial clients, Laura considers herself a Generalist in Commercial Real Estate, as her networks and past experiences draw her to several different assets. Prior to earning her Illinois Real Estate Brokers License in 2018, Laura worked in various Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations roles mainly with companies in their initial start-up or expansion phases.
From 2000 to 2011, Laura was deeply rooted within the Residential Real Estate Community as the Sales Associate for Home Warranty of America, and also serving as an Affiliate Director with several local REALTOR Associations. Her interest in Commercial/Industrial Real Estate grew in 2011, when she had the opportunity to work for Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, where 1.5 million square feet of the former Ryerson Steel Plant on Chicago’s South West Side was transformed to television and film studios, bringing a thriving industry back into a community that was once the heartbeat of Chicago steel. In 2014, Lagunitas Brewing Company opened its doors in one of the four, main warehouses on the Cinespace property and Laura joined Lagunitas as the On-Site Events Coordinator working with the local and national nonprofit community, managing an events staff and multiple spaces. Working within a 250,000 square foot, state-of-the-art production facility expanded Laura’s interest even deeper for the desire to assist companies in finding the right facility that can help it grow and thrive.
Born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Laura currently resides in the West Loop and her love for Chicago, especially its history told through architecture and industry, has kept her a life-long Chicagoan. She volunteers her time with Chicago CanStruction, benefiting The Greater Chicago Food Depository.
