In 2007, Lara made one of the best decisions of her life by moving to Happy Valley. Her family considered many other places but fell in love with State College the first time they drove into down; ‘I love the sense of small town… running into friends at the grocery store and children walking home from school.’ Equally important, Lara loves the excitement and energy that is here; Broadway shows come to town, football weekends make the town nearly burst at the seams and a ton of opportunity and diversity is brought through Penn State. It did not take long for her to call this home.
