An Orange County native, Kurt attended Mater Dei High School where he excelled both academically and athletically, earning college scholarships while also lettering in Baseball. He attended Chapman University where he earned the Dean’s Scholarship. He was team captain from ‘06-’08, received 1st team All-American honors each year, and helped lead the team to the College World Series each of those years. In 2008 Kurt was drafted in the 8th round by the Colorado Rockies. He then went on to play 6 years of professional baseball before retiring. During that time, he became a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and managed a portfolio of assets which dealt with properties on a national level. He became comfortable and proficient at reading markets, speaking with property owners, tenants, attorneys, city officials, investors, bankers, and many more which greatly honed his skill and assisted in his next career choice as he moved into the Commercial Real Estate world. Kurt joined the DAUM team in September of 2015. His expertise includes Full-Service Consultations, vast knowledge of Industrial Facilities and the industrial commercial markets in the greater LA Basin, Investment Opportunities, Commercial & Industrial Developments, Office, and Retail Properties. Kurt has averaged between 40-50 completed transactions each year since 2018. Kurt owes his success to his fervent dedication and yearning to be the best he can be at all times. His competitive nature, drive, and commitment has made him a success time and time again at whatever hand he tries. However, the most important quality for Kurt is his positive attitude and his willingness to always help others and be of service.
