Bio
In ancient times, the name given to a person had meaning and it could be a blessing or a curse to the person. The person somehow took on the personality of his or her name. The name defines the person. So what comes to mind when you hear the name King Bravo? Bold ruler. Fearless chief. Magnanimous leader. Indeed, these are true in the case of King Bravo, who thinks that the best part of being in his trade is being able to help others. King confesses that he loves to see the glow on his clients’ faces when they close on a home or a commercial property. Helping others, however, need not be a serious matter. He asserts that one can have fun while helping others. Having fun was paramount at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream where King had the opportunity to meet and work with Ben Cohen. There, it was impressed on everyone that what you give back – to your company, to your family, to your fellow workers – is more important than what you receive. More importantly for King, Ben said that work should be fun. King remembers wearing shirts at work printed with Ben’s best slogans, “If it is not fun, why do it!” The shirts are gone but to this day, King pursues this philosophy with great zeal. “That’s why I love real estate, we can have fun while helping others,” he proudly declares. Before his love affair with real estate, King shifted gears from the food industry to a career in international business that ultimately paved the way to him becoming the Director of Sales and Marketing for a custom luxury homebuilder in Boerne, Texas. When the economy forced the company to downsize, he and his family moved back to Georgetown to be around relatives and friends. “I realized how much money I had made for real estate agents during my time with the homebuilder so I chose to pursue the real estate industry,” he recalls. In spite of his success in the business, it’s not all about the money for King. He cautions, “Don’t think about the money you make or the business deals you close.” King advises his colleagues at AREAA to think about what they can do for their clients and for each other. “Focus daily on giving referrals. If you continually give referrals, your business will flourish.” This predisposition for generosity comes from a man who regards Jesus Christ as his hero. And it’s an open secret that King shares with those around him. “Jesus Christ gives me all of the business insights and strategies that develop my business today. All of my business is focused on my ‘Spheres of Influence’,” reveals King. Further revelations amazed us as we got to know more of King Bravo. His father’s family, recognized as one of the founding families of Las Vegas, hails from Mexico. His mom’s family from Germany also migrated to Las Vegas and they owned an interior design studio there. In Houston where he lived for several years, King took up the sport of bull riding. Unbeknownst to many, he has a passion for cooking that inspires him to try different cuisines and recipes. Today, King Bravo stands tall in the real estate industry as a proud member of AREAA. Like a bold ruler, fearless chief, and magnanimous leader, his desire to join the group was fueled by the desire to be around passionate and energetic professionals. “I like being around their energy and tremendous ideas,” admits King who has found his organizational affiliation very beneficial. And with a contented heart, King is proud to say that he has found in AREAA a new network of real estate professionals who share his passion.
