Kim joined Block Real Estate Services, LLC in 2008 as vice president in charge of retail leasing, bringing with her over 15 years of commercial real estate experience. During her career, Kim has leased retail space in existing shopping centers and shopping centers under development throughout Kansas City and its surrounding areas. She has been responsible for negotiating all aspects of lease and sales transactions. Her goals include increasing the value and income for each retail property for which she is responsible. Having received her real estate license in both Missouri and Kansas in 1994, she owes her start in the real estate industry to Dan Sight, CCIM of Sight Commercial Realty where she worked for over eight years assisting with all aspects of commercial real estate. The last five years she spent with Copaken White & Blitt where she earned the honor of Associate of the Year in 2003. Kim earned the 2009 Highest Volume Retail award from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and the Second Highest Volume Retail award in 2010 and 2011. She was presented with the CoStar Power Broker award for retail leasing in 2010, 2011 2012 and 2013 having ranked among the market’s top brokers based on transaction volume. She achieved the SCLS (Senior Certified Leasing Specialist) designation through the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in September, 2009; she achieved the CLS designation in 2006. She previously served as the MO/KS State Next Generation Chair for ICSC and is an active member of the organization. Kim served on the KCRAR Commercial Board of Directors from 2017 through 2021. In 2014, Kim was named one of Kansas City’s most influential women by Kansas City Business Magazine and in 2022 Kim received one of the top producer awards from WIRED, Women in Real Estate & Development. Kim worked her way through college as the manager of a local restaurant and later as an assistant at a local law firm. She received an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with an emphasis in Accounting from the Metropolitan Community Colleges and continued her education in Business Management at Emporia State University.
