Kevin J. Murphy joined Newmark’s Rutherford office in 2006 after beginning his career in commercial real estate 12 years earlier. Mr. Murphy specializes in corporate tenant representation and real estate portfolio management. Since beginning his career in 1994, Mr. Murphy had concluded hundreds of lease and sale transactions including multi state facility searches and the design of economic incentive packages. His experience includes office, retail, data center, industrial and manufacturing facilities.
The Newmark platform and available tools have provided Mr. Murphy with a wide breadth of services to offer to his clients. His business philosophy is to employ a pragmatic, analytical approach that rationalizes a client’s needs and identifies the optimal solutions. The goal is to align a client’s space requirements with their operational and financial objectives.
Some of his more noteworthy experiences include the sale disposition of AT&T’s 1.3M SF headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ, the leasing of Sanofi’s 870,000 SF North American headquarters, representing Memorial Sloan Kettering’s in leasing their 1.5mW primary data center, and being part of a team of professionals selected by GE to be one of three service providers for their North American portfolio. .
