Ken Blankenship after college and 8 years in the corporate world, entered the Real Estate Industry as a Sr. Manager for a large mortgage company in 1992. In 1996 Blankenship founded “Mortgage Options” a residential and commercial mortgage brokerage. In 2000 Blankenship bought 50% interest in “Buckhead Real Estate Group” which as a small real estate company with 3 agents. BREG quickly grew to over 350 associates and in 2006 became ERA United Realty a franchise of Realogy, the largest real estate company in the world. Ken was COO and Co-Owner of the nationally-franchised brokerage where he was named as Top 500 Power Broker by RIS Media.
Blankenship sold the mortgage company in 2007 and then sold the real estate company in 2010 to Metro Brokers where he aligned with Coldwell Banker Commercial and worked extensively with the FDIC and “Loss Share” Banks to help sell over $1 B in commercial assets.
Experience includes most asset types including Land, Retail, Multi-Family, Industrial, Project Management and many others. Blankenship has underwritten complex financials with a focus on Cash Flows, Valuations and Pro-Formas.
Ken has been married to his wife Melinda for over 20 years and has 3 children. He is very active in the Sailing Community on Lake Lanier and the family attends 12 Stone Church.
