Bio
Kelsey Diller is one of the few real estate brokers under the age of 35 who can claim to already have 25 years of hands-on industry experience – and prove it. That’s what happens when you’re a fourth-generation broker born into a real estate family. From the age of five, she helped her family renovate and market a variety of real estate investments; her early commissions were paid in hot cocoa. In 2008, Diller co-founded Orbit Homes, LLC and built her first spec house, a celebrated four-star Green Built property in West Seattle. The company also managed a sizable land transaction in Cougar Mountain before the recession hit and Diller retrenched. She rode out the down market by learning the property management side of the business at David Whitener, Inc. There she managed clients and vendors for 27 homeowner associations. At Smart Revenue, Diller spearheaded ethnography studies and wrote market research reports for Big Box Retailers. As the real estate market rebounded, Diller was armed with fresh skills and the tools she needed to open her own brokerage. City Closers is a nimble, full-service brokerage, serving commercial and residential clients throughout Greater Seattle. Since opening the doors in 2010, Diller and her brokerage team have closed more than $20M in sales and leases. Real estate brokers traditionally sign up with one of the industry’s big brands to take advantage of vast corporate databases and deep resources. In today’s market, networking and relationship building deliver far more results than big ad buys. The Internet has leveled the playing field in terms of listing and marketing properties. City Closers realizes Diller’s vision to have a better broker experience, which results in a more personalized client experience. Diller coaches her brokers 1-on-1 every two weeks instead of sticking them in tiresome, all-day training. She arms them with FinaleWare: a proprietary transaction management software that she personally developed. Leadership positions in BNI, Toastmasters, Young Professionals of Seattle, and other professional organizations help Diller grow a network of the city’s best business partners and generate connections that Diller and her brokers turn into qualified leads, clients and referrals. In her spare time, Diller joins her aviator husband for guided helicopter tours across Seattle’s rich architectural landscape.
