Katie Szpyrka joined Savills Chicago office in September 2018, bringing over a decade of commercial real estate experience working exclusively in office tenant representation. Katie specializes in office lease relocations, renewals, restructures and strategic planning for clients ranging from technology and advertising companies to professional service and financial firms and more. Her expert capabilities in market research, financial analysis, workplace strategy, lease negotiations and transaction management have established Katie as an invaluable asset to her clients.
Prior to joining Savills, Katie spent nine years with Cushman & Wakefield, where she became the company’s youngest associate vice president and eventually became a director. While at C&W, Katie successfully completed strategy-driven transactions in downtown Chicago and 30 markets across the United States. Her passion for working with innovative firms made her one of the market’s go-to experts in the area of creative workspaces. In 2015, she was appointed director of the firm’s technology, advertising, media and telecommunications practice group and real estate advisor partnering with entrepreneurs and startups at global tech incubator, 1871.
Before Cushman & Wakefield, Katie worked for boutique Chicago firm Advocate Commercial Real Estate Advisors, where she was responsible for new business development, research and lease transactions on behalf of numerous high-profile organizations.
