Bio
As a Regional Vice President for BH Management Services, Karen Smith oversees BH’s northern and eastern Texas regions, as well as northern Louisiana. Smith is responsible for her 30+ community’s budgeting, portfolio performance, market presence and vendor relations. With more than 30 years of multifamily experience throughout several major markets, Smith joined BH in March 2014 as a Regional Manager and was later promoted to Area Vice President. Prior to BH, she held a variety of onsite and corporate roles, from Leasing Consultant to Senior Asset Manager. She worked for Equity Residential for 13 years, gaining first-hand experience in operations and asset management.
