Bio
Karan Moeller is a rare breed … a true Florida “native” having been born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School and subsequently became a proud University of Florida Gator. She graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Sales from Florida’s School of Business. She married her college sweetheart, a 5th generation Florida Keys native, whose family has resided in the Keys since the early 1900’s. Her husband’s grandfather actually dredged many of the canals our homes are built on today. Both their children thrived in the local public-school system and ultimately attended our alma mater, University of Florida.
Karan’s family happily resides on the beautiful island of Upper Matecumbe Key in the Village of Islands, more commonly referred to as Islamorada, The Sportsfishing Capital of the World. She can attest to the latter since her husband and both our children have caught and released world record bonefish in the fabulous backcountry waters of Florida Bay. We have all enjoyed the natural marine sanctuary surrounding our beautiful islands, spanning over 100 miles south of the mainland of Florida. From fishing to birding, the Keys is a one-of-a-kind treasure. She happens to be obsessed with Roseate Spoonbills and takes every opportunity to photograph then during her free time! With the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, we have the most incredible backdrop for our backyard!
Upon moving to the Keys in 1994, Karan became a full time real estate sales associate and has successfully been listing and selling properties throughout Monroe County for over two decades. She specializes in both residential and commercial property sales and is currently working for one of the premier brokerage offices in the Florida Keys, American Caribbean Real Estate. They offer not only tremendous local knowledge but also global exposure through their affiliation with Christie’s International Real Estate. She is proud of her career success that includes closed sales volume exceeding $150 million dollars.
