Justin Skiver is Senior Vice President – Global Head of Seniors Housing at Welltower Inc. and leads the United Kingdom office which manages the Company’s UK and Canadian portfolios and identifies growth opportunities within the UK, Continental Europe and other international markets. Previously, Mr. Skiver served as SVP – Underwriting where he was responsible for management of the Investment Team and underwriting process as well as managing key client relationships. Prior to becoming Senior Vice President, Mr. Skiver served as VP of Corporate Investments where he was responsible for evaluating, structuring, and closing corporate investments, including international and M&A deals. Mr. Skiver’s transaction experience includes private market acquisitions, public company M&A, new development, joint ventures, operating leases, real estate and mezzanine loans, equity investments, and dispositions and spans the continuum of health care real estate.
Prior to joining Welltower in 2009, Mr. Skiver held various positions in financial services and investment firms. Most recently, he worked for Trefethen & Company, a boutique investment firm that provides a full range of capital markets and M&A advisory services to public and private companies in the branded retail industry.
Mr. Skiver is a member of the Future Leaders Council of the National Investment Center. He also serves on the University of Toledo’s Foundation Board and Real Estate Board. He holds a BSBA degree in both Finance and International Business from Ohio University.
