Bio
Joshua is one of the Founders and Principals of Frontline Real Estate Partners. Josh is responsible for sourcing acquisition and advisory opportunities, dealmaking, and managing Frontline’s team of real estate brokers. Josh is involved in the sourcing, execution and structuring of Frontline’s acquisitions. Prior to co-founding Frontline, Josh spent over eight years with Hilco Real Estate as a Principal and Senior Vice President and five years with Mid-America Real Estate. During his tenure at Hilco, his primary responsibilities included spearheading Hilco’s principal acquisition and fee for service disposition disciplines. In these two roles, Josh managed a team of eight dealmakers and analysts. He has spent the better part of his career participating as a principal as well as a real estate advisor and consultant in some of the United States largest and most high profile bankruptcy cases. While at Mid-America Real Estate Corporation, Josh specialized in the disposition and acquisition of retail properties throughout the Midwest. Josh has consummated real estate transactions, both as a principal and an advisor, in over 40 states within the United States. He has disposed of over $700,000,000 of real estate as an advisor and consultant and has acquired in excess of $150,000,000 of real estate as a principal during his career. He has acquired and disposed of retail (shopping centers, restaurants, health and fitness centers, gas stations and convenience stores, and drug stores), industrial (manufacturing, distribution, and self-storage facilities), office, undeveloped land (both commercial and residential), telecommunications sites (data centers, telecommunication office centers, and antenna sites), dialysis clinics, corporate campuses, and multi-family developments. Josh also has extensive experience in buying and selling notes from and on behalf of financial institutions. Josh also acts as a court-appointed Receiver in the Chicagoland area and all of the collar counties. He often is called upon by numerous bank and private equity clients to assist in complex foreclosure and bankruptcy situations that require the experience, knowledge, and creative deal making that go along with typical distressed real estate cases. He has established a strong, reliable name in the commercial real estate arena as both a fierce advocate and negotiator for his clients and an astute and professional buyer and owner of real estate assets. Josh’s clientele includes publicly traded companies, privately held corporations, private equity companies, financial institutions, retailers, court-appointed trustees and receivers, and traditional institutional and private real estate companies.
