Born and raised in the Denver Metro area, Josh Gertz is very proud to be able to trace his Colorado roots back five generations. You can say he has Denver in his blood. After attending the University of Colorado Boulder on a Navy ROTC scholarship, Josh spent nearly seven years traveling the world while serving as a Naval Officer. After experiencing locations, large and small, from San Diego, to Paris, to Dubai, Josh came to realize just how amazing of a city he had come from. He likes to say that, “I’ve traveled the world and can say without a doubt, Denver is the ideal city!” From the mountains to the amazing restaurants, from the Sports teams to the Arts, and from the high rise condos down town to the charming neighborhoods filled with culture and diversity, Denver really does have it all.
It was his passion for the city all that it has to offer that brought him back to Denver and led him into a career in Real Estate. “Where you live has such a big effect on how you live. That’s why so many people are drawn to Denver, it’s the lifestyle.” Not only that, but every neighborhood here has its own character and something different to offer. Having grown up in Denver and watched many of these neighborhoods develop and evolve, as well as having lived both Downtown and the Governor’s Park neighborhood, Josh has become skilled at matching each client’s unique lifestyle with the right neighborhood, community, and home.
Having and MBA and a Certificate in Real Estate from the University of Denver, Josh Gertz has a deep understanding for the value of real estate as an investment. He began his career in real estate helping investors buy and sell multifamily and apartment properties. This allowed Josh to become an a true expert at both valuing properties and analyzing them for their return on investment (ROI). He loves assisting experienced investors in this, and is skilled at working with new investors to help them analyze and find the right property.
