Joe Donato has ten years experience in commercial real estate finance, acquisition, disposition, valuation and analysis. During his career, he has been involved with over $1 billion of financings. Mr. Donato is currently a Senior Associate in the Washington, DC, office of L.J. Melody, CB Richard Ellis' real estate investment banking subsidiary. He joined the firm as a result of CB Richard Ellis' July 2003 merger with Insignia/ESG, where he began working in 2000.
Before becoming an Associate Director, Mr. Donato was a Senior Financial Analyst with Insignia/ESG. In this capacity, his responsibilities were to perform financial analysis, due diligence and underwriting for placement of debt and equity. Prior to Insignia/ESG, Mr. Donato served as Senior Analyst for The Zitelman Group, where he was responsible for the financial oversight of real estate assets comprised of multi-family and commercial properties. Prior to that, he worked with Clark Enterprises as a Staff Accountant and The Rappaport Companies as a Staff Accountant.
