Bio
In over 20 years of representing buyers and marketing listings for both residential and commercial real estate clients, Jorie Girod has bridged the professional practice spectrum and is equally skilled at landlord/tenant leasing throughout the Metropolitan Portland area. After developing a successful real estate partnership in Bend with her mother, she decided to leverage her background over 16 years ago in commercial by concentrating on land, mixed-use, office, retail, and industrial. With experience in working in the logistical aspects of real estate development, she has transitioned the majority of her practice to commercial sales and leasing. Philanthropy and industry involvement are cornerstones of Girod’s success in the industry. Firmly believing in relationship-driven transactions, her not-for-profit work in real estate has provided the opportunity to develop a professional network throughout the United States. As past President of the Women’s Council of Realtors® Portland Chapter, she represented the region’s executive team of the nation’s 12th largest women’s professional organization. Lobbying on behalf of both the industry and its clients, she has been part of three legislative conferences in Washington D.C. In 2008, she served the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors® (PMAR) on its Government Affairs Committee.
Continuing education and training are particularly important to the technical excellence required for her practice. She maintains a number of accredited designations including GRI, ABR, PMN, and has had some training and is a member of the local chapter of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Her studies started at the University of Oregon in Japanese and International Business before transferring to Portland State University receiving a BS in business with a concentration in human resources. In 2018 & 2021 Jorie was recognized in the President’s Circle which is ranking in the top 5% of the Berkshire Hathaway Network.
A native Oregonian, Girod’s family has been involved in real estate, building, and construction since the late 1970’s in Oregon and Washington.
