Jonathan focuses on investment sales across Upstate NY, with a concentration on multifamily assets. In
addition to brokerage, Jonathan owns and manages his own multifamily properties in Central New York. Prior
to coming back to Upstate New York, Jonathan lived in Manhattan, New York City for over 10 years, where he
built his career in real estate investing and financing and then investment banking and private equity investing.
Jonathan was a partner in a family office backed investment fund where he sourced and evaluated hundreds
of investment opportunities in privately held businesses with $10-100 million of revenue. He also acted as the
interim CFO and acquisitions advisor to a privately held online marketing and technology company.
Preceding this, Jonathan was an investor at Sun Capital Partners, a private equity firm with more than $7
billion of capital under management. While at Sun, Jonathan was responsible for evaluating and executing
new investment opportunities for leveraged buy outs, and worked closely with the management teams of Sun’s
portfolio companies by advising on corporate strategy, analyzing add-on acquisitions, and managing cash flow
and liquidity.
Prior to Sun Capital, Jonathan worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and participated in a variety of
engagements, including mergers and acquisitions advisory, debt financings, IPOs and other equity issuances.
Jonathan started his career out of college in commercial real estate financing at Marcus and Millichap Capital.
