Jonathan Nelson is Senior Vice President, Development and Asset Management & Partner for Anchor Health Properties and is based in the firm’s Charlottesville, VA office.
Mr. Nelson brings over ten years of diverse healthcare real estate development, management and investment experience for the benefit of the firm’s clients, having served in property and asset management, development and corporate operations roles throughout his tenure with Anchor. Focused on the full project development, delivery and ongoing management of healthcare projects and properties across the US, his broad operational and project delivery background provides unique insights for any project engagement.
Mr. Nelson was previously responsible for shepherding the growth of the firm’s Management Platform from a dozen assets under management in 2014 to more than eight million square feet of owned and managed healthcare real estate with a team of over forty property and asset management professionals and a diverse group of capital partners and clients. He has served as a key executive ensuring coordination and collaboration between Anchor’s operations, investment, and development efforts across the country as the firm continues to build its national, full-service healthcare real estate platform. Additionally, he has led the delivery of dozens of healthcare projects, including multiple ambulatory surgery centers, pathology labs and traditional outpatient medical office buildings.
Mr. Nelson is a member of the firm’s internal Investment Committee.
Mr. Nelson began his career with Koch Companies Public Sector then joined Anchor Health Properties (previously Brinkman Management & Development) in 2013. Mr. Nelson received a BS from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
